The Santa Barbara Soccer Club’s boys under-14 White won its fourth straight 1-0 game Friday and advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regionals in Phoenix, Ariz.
Santa Barbara beat Boise National Liverpool in the quarterfinals on Shea Blackman’s goal. Blackman scored on a header off an assist from Juan Pablo Alvarez.
Santa Barbara will play Williamette, Oregon in Saturday’s semifinals. Williamette defeated Arsenal FC of Southern California 4-3 on penalty kicks after the teams deadlocked 0-0 in their quarterfinal match.
In the other quarterfinal matches, Alum Rock PAC Impact of Northern California beat Washington’s WPFC 97 Black 2-1, and Juventus Heat of Northern California defeated New Mexico Rush Nike 98 1-0.
