What a great season the Platinum Performance- Sho Air Mountain Bike Team has had.
Yesterday was the last test for the team in California for the season. Big Bear was the host of the California State Championship.
The course was new with sections many of the riders have never experienced before. The organizers added more fun singletract that encompassed loose rocky sections that pushed the riders to their limits. The climbs were mostly fire roads which included a climb right off the gate. The riders reached “red line” within minutes of the race with a 3 mile climb peaking out a 8,300′. The course was a one lap loop that was about 21 miles long.
