Hannah Harris was virtually unhittable in Channel League play this season, earning the senior pitcher Most Valuable Player honors.
Four other Dos Pueblos teammates were named to the league’s First Team following a season in which the Chargers held off Buena for the outright league title.
Harris and the Chargers finished league play at 11-1, with Harris compiling a record of 10-1 in those games. The senior right-hander totaled 67 innings pitched against league opponents and allowed five earned runs, good for an ERA of 0.52.
At the plate, Harris recorded a hit in 10-of-12 league games and finished 17-for-33 for an average of .515.
Chloe Madill, Agnetta Cleland, Veronica Gulvin and Haley Peterson were named to the First Team from Dos Pueblos. Gulvin is the only freshman on the First Team.
San Marcos’ Kristen Berlo and Emily Dietz joined three Buena players and two from Ventura to fill out the First Team.
Three more Royals and three more Chargers made the second team, including Royals freshman Veronica Villarreal and Chargers freshman Kai Uyesaka.
The Channel League went on to perform well in CIF’s Division-4 playoff. Dos Pueblos was knocked out in the quarterfinals while Buena defeated the division’s top seed to reach the semifinals.
