After scoring 18 runs in the District 63 All-Star Tournament opener, Dos Pueblos Little League’s 11/12 team did one better in Monday’s 19-0 victory over Ventura Coastal Little League.
Jed Donelan’s production was impressive, totaling 10 bases on two home runs and a double. Donelan finished 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs.
Nick Baker was 2-for-3 but also blasted a pair of home runs while driving in four runs. Dan Willett and Jake McBride added home runs as DPLL benefited from six round-trippers. Zach Wright went 3-for-3 and Ashton Borgeson was 2-for-2 with two extra-base hits.
In total, DPLL collected 18 hits in the four inning game. The next pool-play game is Thursday against Carpinteria Valley Little League at Girsh Park.
The team includes: Baker, Borgeson, Isaac Coffey, Davey Demeter, Donelan, Will Goodwin, Thomas Jimenez, Dylan Kelley, McBride, Justin Padilla, Kellen Roberts, Willett, Wright, and Will Yamasaki. The team is managed by Dave Demeter and coached by Steve Buratto, Kent McBride and Rick “Buddy” Wolen.
