Blues snap Foresters’ seven-game streak

The San Luis Obispo Blues extended their lead in the California Collegiate League standings while snapping the Santa Barbara Foresters’ seven-game win streak on Tuesday in a 4-1 decision at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.

The Blues are 8-2 in CCL play while the Foresters fall to 5-3.

Cody Dufrene knocked in three of San Luis Obispo’s four runs and reached base four times.

Four Blues pitchers combined to limit Santa Barbara to six hits. Josh Tiedemann started and picked up the win for five shut-out innings.

Arby Fields scored Santa Barbara’s only run in the seventh inning on an RBI walk that plated Jacob Felts, making the score 4-1.

The two teams play the second of a mid-week three-game series today at 5:10 p.m.
