After the first round at the Channel League Boys Golf Championships, Ventura’s Matt Thomas leads all golfers with a score of 70.
He is trailed closely by teammate Gregory Brown, who shot a 71. San Marcos’ Thayer White, Santa Barbara’s Jonathon Collins and Ventura’s Gergory Robarge are all keeping pace with a score of 74.
The tournament, which White won last year, is taking place at Soule Park in Ojai.
Round 2 will be played tomorrow and the top eight finishers will advance further in the postseason.
