The Carpinteria High softball team kept its flawless Frontier League record intact with a 12-3 victory over Bishop Diego on Tuesday.

Catalina Maldonado held the Cardinals to three runs on seven hits while striking out six batters and walking just one.

Maldonado also helped out her own cause significantly at the plate. She got even with her opponents by recording three RBIs, the same number of runs she allowed. Maldonado went 2-for-4 and also scored a run.

Carmen Campi also had an excellent day at the plate, going 3-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

At 7-0, the Warriors are in position to take the Frontier League title, but Santa Clara and Santa Paula are nipping at their heels.

Santa Paula sits just one game back and will face Carpinteria on Tuesday of next week.

Santa Clara is two games behind the Warriors (14-5-1 overall) and the teams will play each other on Thursday in Carpinteria.
