Santa Barbara Soccer Club's U14 Girls White team
The U14 Girls white team had an incredible State Cup run scoring 24 goals for and only giving up 4 over their 7 games streak leading to the finals.
In the finals, the U14G team was in a defensive battle with NC-Boca. Neither team was giving up many chances and it was going to come down to the wire.
With 12 minutes left in the game NC Boca broke through and took the lead. The SBSC girls took to the offensive, and with surge after surge they attacked the opponents goal with narrow miss after narrow miss until their time ran out and settled for the 0-1 defeat and the second place finish in State Cup.
The girls outplayed their opponents technically?in every game including the final but did not get the deserved result.
Nevertheless the girls are proud of their accomplishment and are looking forward to next year?s National
Cup run!
