PHOTO GALLERY INTRO: The 45th annual Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Hall of Fame Banquet was hosted at the DoubleTree Resort on Monday, as a sold-out crowd gathered to celebrate the evening’s honorees.
Among them were 11 Hall of Fame inductees, four special award winners, three scholarship recipients, two coaches of the year, and 52 Athletes of the Year.

Bill and Kristi Parrish were inducted into the Hall of Fame as Community Leaders.

Mark French was the only coach inducted in 2012. French led the UCSB women's basketball program for 21 years and won 438 games in his time there.

The Open Athlete of the Year award went to a team this year, as Santa Barbara Running and Racing were recognized for winning the Masters Division at the USA Cross Country Championships.

Janelle Thompson played basketball at Santa Barbara High from 1985-89. Thompson went on to play at Arizona followed by a professional career in Europe and Israel.

Santa Barbara's Ivette Gil, Dos Pueblos' Haley Peterson, and Carpinteria's Erin Saito came to the stage for being named Phil Womble Award winners during the school year. The award is given to those high school juniors that shows exemplary sportsmanship and character. Other Womble recipients include San Marcos' Jordan Lund, Bishop Diego's Troy Skinner, Providence Hall's Elizabeth Beebe, Cate's Joshua Yaro, and Laguna Blanca's Eddie Conk.
