Lebow, Gama, Helton hold edge at City Championship

Shane Lebow, Brandon Gama and Brian Helton share the lead after two rounds at the Santa Barbara City Championship, as the tournament heads into Monday’s final round at Santa Barbara Golf Club.

Stanford golfer Shane Lebow remains atop the leaderboard after completing his second-straight round under-par.

Helton carded a four-under 67 and Gama a three-under 68 to catch Lebow, who held the lead after Saturday’s first round. Lebow scored a one-under 70.

Twenty-six golfers will continue competing on Monday after the cut was made at 148.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Scores were a touch lower on Sunday than Saturday because the consistent wind found on the tournament’s first day calmed to a slight breeze.

Tyler Schwanz set the bar on Sunday with a six-under 65. David Siordia and Brett Silvernail positioned themselves into the hunt with a 66 and 67, respectively, and will start Monday just one stroke back of the leaders.

In comparison, Lebow’s 68 was the best round from Saturday.

Levi Garcia and Schwanz stand three strokes back with a two-day score of 141.
