Santa Barbara High graduate Carson Clark was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Men’s Volleyball Tournament for leading UC Irvine to a sweep of USC in Saturday night’s title match at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
The senior finished his collegiate career in fine fashion, collecting a match-high 22 kills. Clark totaled nine kills and five aces in Irvine’s semifinal win over Penn State.
Clark graduated from Santa Barbara High in 2007 after receiving all-CIF recognition for four straight years. Since redshirting his freshman year, Clark won two national titles in four years with the Anteaters.
