The Cate School hosted the Frontier League swimming finals for the first time ever this year, and several Rams posted impressive finishes.
Sophia Soriana hit a CIF automatic qualifying time of 1:15.38 in the 100 yard breaststroke and earned CIF consideration with a time of 2:27.6 in the 200 yard IM.
Lydia Stevens chopped four seconds of her previous best time in the 500 yard freestyle and also earned CIF consideration for her time of 5:51.5. She earned the same honor with a time of 2:11.2 in the 200 yard freestyle.
Anna Lueck was the other Ram to get a CIF consideration time with a swim of 1:10.8 in the 100 yard backstroke.
In addition, several swimmers showed remarkable improvement from their previous best times. Most notably, Mira Straathof beat her personal best in the 200 free by 30 seconds and Lily Xu beat her best finish in the 500 yard freestyle by 20 second.
The league finals will be held on Friday at Cate.
