SBCC’s Sophie Angner and Talia Hudson, one of the top doubles teams in Southern California, have been named to the All-WSC women’s tennis team.
Angner, a freshman from Stockholm, Sweden, was a first-team choice while Hudson, a freshman from Santa Barbara High, made the second team.
The Vaqueros (13-3) finished second in the WSC with a 6-2 record and made the Southern Cal Regional for the third straight year.
Angner reached the semifinals in two big tournaments the last two weekends — at the Ojai and the Southern Cal Regional. She and Hudson were seeded No. 1 in doubles at both tourneys and made the Ojai final and the Regional semifinals.
Angner will play singles and team with Hudson in doubles in this weekend’s State Finals, which start Thursday at the Balboa Tennis Club in San Diego.
