Aidan Williams pitched a complete-game shutout to lead his team to a 12-0 victory over Villanova on Thursday.
“He did everything you could possibly ask for,” assistant coach Kai Sullen said.
Williams stuck out eight batters and gave up just one hit—a grounder that just barely snuck out of the infield. He also helped out his own cause by smacking two doubles.
“He came out throwing strikes,” Sullen said. “He was pretty overpowering today.”
The Cardinals (10-3 overall, 5-1 Frontier League) will take a week off return to action on April 18 at home against Santa Clara.
