The Carpinteria boys volleyball team faced a 24-19 deficit in the first set of its match against Bishop Diego, but came back to win the game and sweep the Cardinals.
The set scores for Tuesday’s matchup were 27-25, 25-19 and 25-15.
“We let them come all the way back,” Bishop Diego coach Blake Dorfman said. “From there we just couldn’t mentally get back in the game.”
Highlights for the Cardinals incolude four digs from Casey Conneely, seven kills and two aces from Nic Mon and three more kills from Jose Del Campo.
The Cardinals (4-11 overall, 2-9 Tri-Valley League) will play next on Thursday at home against Laguna Blanca.
