The Carpinteria boys track team won their meet with Oak Park 73-63, who had got the best of the Warriors for the past nine years.
Highlights in the meet included Kyle Millhollin, who set a personal record to win the 400 meters (52.08). Millhollin was also part of the victorious 4×100 meter and 4×400 meter relay teams.
Andrew Sova earned points for his team by winning the long jump (18’9″) and finishing second in the triple jump (37’11.5″) while Noah Woo won the high jump (6’0″).
The girls team lost 80-56, but a few individuals turned in impressive performances.
Kelsey Drain won three events and recorded personal bests in all of them. She took the 100 meter hurdles (17.90), 300 meter hurdles (49.94) and the pole vault (9’9″).
Lois Stanley also set a personal record to win the 400 meters (58.81) while Kristina Burch took the long jump (13’3.25″) and the triple jump (29’10.75″).
The boys team improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Tri-Valley League, while the girls dropped to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in TVL play.
