Dos Pueblos’ Joshua Wang won the final game of the match with Westlake to give his team a 10-8 road win.
The contest started out in sweltering heat, then huge gusts of wind added another element for the athletes to fight through.
The match went back and fourth as the Chargers lost four games in first round, but then took four in the second round.
Going into the last matchup, Dos Pueblos led 9-8, but the set scores were tied at 72, meaning Dos Pueblos had to win the game to earn a victory. Wang faced Matthew Gottlieb and won 6-4.
The Chargers (5-1 overall, 1-0 Channel League) will continue their season tomorrow at home against Santa Barbara.
