SBCC was seeded 15th for the 18-team Southern Cal Regional baseball tournament and the WSC champions are one of four teams that will play first-round games on Tuesday.
The Vaqueros (19-17), who shared the WSC North title with Cuesta and Moorpark, will host Canyons (20-15-1), which tied for fourth in the WSC South.
The single-elimination game will be played on Tuesday at Pershing Park, starting at 2 p.m.

“We are a conference champion, so we’re a deserving host,” said coach Jeff Walker, who‘s in his first season at SBCC after serving as an assistant coach at Loyola Marymount. “We’ve played two weeks of play-in games (to make the Regional), so this won’t be anything new.”
SBCC averaged 9.8 runs while winning its last five games. Canyons has won three straight and six of seven. The teams met on Feb. 18 in the ninth game of the year, and the Cougars used a three-run seventh to win 6-5 at Pershing Park.
“This is what you work for all season,” Walker added. “The playoffs have been our goal from Day 1. Our guys are excited and confident.”
Cuesta was seeded No. 6 and will host Cypress in a best-of-3 series on May 5-6. Moorpark, which lost the tiebreaker for the No. 2 conference seed to SBCC, didn’t make the postseason.
Orange Coast is the No. 1 seed, followed by Rio Hondo, Santa Ana and Mt. San Antonio.
If the Vaqueros win on Tuesday, they’ll travel to Whittier to face No. 2 Rio Hondo (33-3) in a best-of-3 series, starting on Saturday.
