Dos Pueblos’ softball team extended a streak of allowing two or fewer runs to 12 games on Thursday in a 6-2 non-league victory over Rio Mesa.
Hannah Harris struck out nine while allowing just one earned run on three hits.
The Chargers offense piled up 14 hits, including a double from Haley Peterson.
Freshman Kai Uyesaka went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI. Peterson was 2-for-3 and knocked in a run. Second baseman Monica Salas reached base in all of her four plate appearances and scored two runs. Courtney Linhares pinch hit in the fifth inning and was 1-for-1 with an RBI.
Dos Pueblos is now 12-2 overall and heads into a week with four games. Two of those are a home and away Channel League series with Ventura.
