SBCC won No. 2 through 6 singles on Tuesday en route to a 7-2 nonconference men’s tennis victory in the last dual match of the season at Cerritos.
Joshua Crisp-Jones, Sebastian Vestberg, Troy Akin, Daniel Francisco and Sean Moazezi posted singles wins for SBCC, which won its last three matches to finish the dual season at 8-3.
Miles Seemann suffered his first loss in 11 matches this year, falling to Chris Nguy 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 (tiebreaker) at No. 1 singles. Akin outlasted Todd Jenkins 6-1, 5-7, 11-9 (tiebreaker).
“It was a great way to end the dual season with everyone playing well,” said coach Ryan Heinberg. “We’re looking forward to the WSC Tourney this weekend.”
SBCC will travel to Ventura College for the WSC Individual Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
