Ventura’s Brett Silvernail captured the Goleta City Championship with a 1-under par 141 at the Glen Annie Golf Course.
Silvernail, the 8th-place finisher at last year’s state community college championships for Ventura College and a former All-Channel League golfer at Buena High, fired rounds of 70 and 71 in the 36-hole tournament.

Glendale’s Brennan Amirkhizi finished second at 145 (72-73), one stroke ahead of Alex Romo of Ventura (74-72) and Camarillo’s Johnny Ruiz (72-74). Santa Barbara High’s Sean Searls was fifth at 149 (78-71).
Santa Barbara’s Jay Wright won the first flight with a net score of 132. Frank Kerby of Santa Barbara shot a net 145 to win the second flight. The women’s flight winners were Kimberly Pech with a gross score of 162 and Wendy Laub with a net 151.
