The Santa Barbara High track team struggled after traveling down to Ventura for a Channel League dual meet.
The boys team lost 104.5-22.5 and the girls team was defeated 121-6.
Highlights for the Dons in the boys meet included a victory in the 4×100 relay. Bradford Jellison, Gavin Koehn, Collin Fasth and James Stevens earned the win with a time of 44.33 and continued the success that they have had all season in the event.
For the girls, Kelly Drechsler had an excellent day in the distance races, finishing second in the 1600 meters and 3rd in the 3200 meters.
The Dons will compete next tomorrow at the County Championships at Carpinteria.
