The Santa Barbara High boys tennis team defeated Ventura at home on Tuesday to keep its perfect season intact and improve to 7-0.
The Dons dominated singles play, dropping only one point the entire afternoon.
“Our singles players are all extremely tough,” Santa Barbara coach Greg Tebbe said. “That highlights the strength of our team, which is our depth. We have no weak spots in our line up and are able to wear down the competition.”
The Dons led the match 11-1 after the first two rounds, and used the last round to expirement with new combinations for doubles play.
Santa Barbara (7-0 overall, 4-0 Channel League) is ranked fifth in CIF Division I and will play next tomorrow at Peninsula in Palos Verdes.
