After two wins to start the Anaheim Lions Tournament, Santa Barbara High was held in check on Monday in a 7-1 loss to San Clemente.
The Dons scored 20 runs in two games on Saturday but couldn’t score any until the sixth inning on Monday. John Brontsema tripled to lead off the inning and Kees t’Sas recorded an RBI single to plate Santa Barbara’s lone run.
T’Sas was responsible for much of the Dons’ offense, recording three of Santa Barbara’s five hits. He went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Danny Atkinson earned the victory for San Clemente to improve to 4-1. The Tritons are 9-6 overall.
The tournament picks up again on Tuesday. The Dons face Utah’s Riverton at 10 a.m.
