Cate’s Justin Lucchesi went five innings without giving up a hit and led the Rams to a 6-0 victory on the road over Valley Christian on Saturday.
Lucchesi struck out 11 batters and had just two walks in six innings of work as the Rams improved to 5-1 on the season.
At the plate, Erik Lowe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give the Rams a commanding lead. Matt Lowe also had a good hitting day and went 2-3.
Cate (5-1) will continue its season on Tuesday at home against Coastal Christian.
