Veronika Gulvin and the Dos Pueblos softball team suffocated Santa Barbara High for the second time this week, recording a no-hitter in Thursday’s 17-0 five-inning game.
Gulvin’s five innings of no-hit ball follows up Hannah Harris’ seven-inning no-hitter on Tuesday. Of the 15 outs needed to win, 11 came on strikeouts by Gulvin.
Dos Pueblos’ offense scored five runs in three of their four team at-bats.
Chloe Madill, Haley Peterson, Hannah Harris, Emi Parker and Gulvin all recorded two or more hits. Madill was 3-for-3 with three RBI.
The Chargers (20-2, 9-1) continue their play this week on Saturday on the final day of the Thousand Oaks Tournament.
