The San Marcos girls swim team headed south for the Mt. SAC Invitational this weekend and posted several impressive times.
Dasha Depew earned CIF consideration for her eight-place finish in the 200 yard freestyle (157.53) and her tenth place finish in the 500 yard freestyle (515.73).
Senior Ashley Wagner recorded her best time of the season to place 13th in the 100 yard backstroke (105.71).
“Ashley has made many improvements this year and this swim was very encouraging for her end of the season,” coach Chuckie Roth said.
Other highlights included sophomore Megan Riley, who has battled injuries all year, but climbed back to post a personal best in the 100 yard breaststroke (116.51) and finish 21st.
