The Dos Pueblos boys volleyball team used a balanced attack to defeat Channel League rival San Marcos in four sets.
The games scores were 25-13, 23-25, 25-19 and 25-15.
Nate Holmes and Niko Plesons did an excellent job distributing to set up the Chargers’ offense.
“Those two passed the ball to the point where our hitters had options,” Dos Pueblos head coach Chris Hughes said.
The smart service provided by Holmes and Plesons led to plenty of kills for their teammates. Gabe Burdick led with 16 kills while Mansai Conner and Kevin Pappas each added 11 more.
For San Marcos, Spencer Johnson led the team with 13 kills while his brother Baker added 10 more. Setter Christian Widmer showed that he had passing skills as well and finished with 32 assists on the night.
The Royals (10-9 overall, 1-4 CL) will travel to Ventura on Thursday for its next match.
Dos Pueblos (9-11, 4-1 CL) will break for the remainder of the week and play Ventura on Tuesday.
