Dos Pueblos’ boys track & field team edged Buena on Thursday by a single point while the girls team won by a wider margin at 93-37.
The boys meet was scored 64-63 in Dos Pueblos’ favor.
A chunk of the Charger boys’ points came in the 100 meters, which was swept by Jordan Degraffinreid (11.69), John Norris (12.03) and LeShon Bell (12.04). Dos Pueblos also swept the high jump and shot put.
Bell added wins in the shot put and discus. Degraffinreid won the 200 in 23.76.
Stamatia Scarvelis and Addi Zerrenner were big point-getters in the girls competition. Scarvelis won both throwing events, setting a new personal best in the discus with a throw of 128.01.
Zerrenner won three individual events (800, 1600, 3200) and contributed to the winning 4×400 relay team.
Dos Pueblos competes next at Saturday’s Santa Barbara County Championships.
