The Cate School baseball team needed an extra inning to take care of Camp Kilpatrick, but got the job done and earned an 8-7 home victory on Wednesday.
“It was a see saw game,” Rams head coach Ben Soto said.
The game featured two lead changes and a 7-7 tie after seven innings.
In the botom of the eight, Mike Warren hit a two-out single to bring home Patrick Thomas, who had been walked earlier in the inning. The hit gave the Rams their fourth victory of the season.
Cate (4-1) will continue its season on April 13 at home against Pacifica Christian.
