The San Marcos swim team had several successful finishers in its meet with Buena.
The overall team scores ended with boys losing 102-65 and the girls winning 109-73.
For the boys, Abhi Sarkar-Frandsen won the 50 yard freestyle (22.80) and the 100 yard free style (50.11). Both times are personal bests for him.
Spencer Kemp also impressed with second place finishes in both the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 yard breaststroke.
For the girls, Dasha Depew won the 200 yard IM and the 50 yard freestyle.
Ashley Wagner had personal-best times to win the 100 yard backstroke (1:05.57) and finish second to Depew in the 200 yard IM (2:25.67).
Other impressive performances included Blair Rodriguez, who swam the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 1:05.67, nearly eight seconds ahead of her own personal record. Hannah Turk also had a season-best time, swimming the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:22.31.
“Blair has been working very hard and today it paid off,” coach Chuckie Roth said. “Hannah is one of our team captains and works hard on a daily basis and it is great to see her times dropping at the end of the season.”
The Royals will swim next on Friday at home against Orcutt Academy.
