JD Yonke went the distance in his third straight start on Friday as the Cardinals topped Fillmore 8-0 in a Frontier League game.
Yonke, a right-handed senior, improves to 4-0 on the season. He struck out four and allowed just three hits.
At the plate, sophomore Aidan Williams had a big day. Williams recorded two doubles and a triple while knocking in three runs.
Jack Gregson went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.
The game result lifted the Cardinals into sole possession of first place in league play after the first round of games. Bishop Diego begins its back-to-back portion of league play next week with a home-and-away series with Villanova.
