San Marcos’ boys volleyball team won its fourth match of the season without a loss, taking out visiting Arcadia 25-15, 25-17, 25-17.
Junior setter Chris Newton led the attack and dished out 12 assists.
Shane Hauschild had nine kills and middle Kevin Hempy converted seven kills in eight attempts. Jack Shield added seven kills and Baker Johnson recorded four kills.
Royals head coach Roger Kuntz said he was happy with the performance, citing just two hitting errors as a team throughout the match.
The Royals now head into this weekend’s Arcadia Tournament as the defending champion.
