Benji Sorensen and Martin Barnick teamed to sweep three sets for Laguna Blanca on Wednesday, leading the Owls to a 13-5 victory over Besant Hill.
The doubles team won its three sets 6-1, 6-2, 6-1. Laguna won 4-of-6 sets in the other doubles matches, including two wins from Brendon Nylen and Justin Palmer.
All three singles players won 2-of-3 sets for the Owls. Tristan Prinz, Alex Greer and Alex Shirokow-Louden lost only two games in their six wins.
“It was good to get a win under our belts early in the season and even better to be able to get every player on the team an individual win,” said Laguna Blanca head coach Trevor Thorpe.
Besant Hill’s Mark Riedmueller gave the Owls trouble by sweeping his three sets.
It was the first win of the season for Laguna Blanca (1-1), which moves on to face San Marcos on Monday.
