Laguna Blanca tuned up for its league opener by posting a 25-12, 25-16, 25-22 sweep over Providence Hall in a non-league boys volleyball match on Tuesday.
Andrew Vignolo gave the Owls a strong effort at the net. He had eight kills on 14 swings. J.T. Aubery led the teams with nine kills and 10 digs.
“It was a good match for the boys,” Laguna coach Dillan Bennett said. “Andrew Vignolo carried us on offense and at the net with his blocking. We worked hard on our defensive game the last few practices and it’s finally paying off. Cuyler Zimmerman set a very smooth offense tonight as well.”
Laguna Blanca (3-2) opens Condor League play at Dunn on Wednesday.
