Bishop Diego’s league opener went better for Oak Park, as the Eagles took a 25-10, 25-10, 25-18 victory from the Cardinals.
Jose Del Campo led the Cardinals with six kills and sophomore Chandler Swift was praised for his passing.
“As a sophomore, Chandler came in really composed and passed a really, really strong match,” said Bishop Diego head coach Jason Donnelly.
“Oak Park is one of the best teams we’ll play all season. I liked our fight in the third game.”
Bishop Diego (0-2, 0-1) plays again at the San Luis Obispo Tournament on Friday. The Cardinals play in a group with the host Tigers, Madera, and Logan.
