Dos Pueblos wrestler Chad Lampe won his weight class at the SCWAY State Folkstlye Championships in Lemoore while Cameron Cox placed seventh at the CA/USA Wrestling State Folkstyle State Championships in Fresno. Both tournaments took place over this past weekend.
Lampe competed in the 120-pound class and his first-place finish in the Junior Division (ages 16-17) qualified him for the Flo Nationals at Drexel University in Philadelphia next month.
While Cox is young enough to compete in the Cadet Division (ages 14-15), he competed at 113 pounds in the Junior Division (ages 16-18).
