With all 13 team members seeing court time in Friday’s Condor League matchup with Dunn, Cate’s varsity tennis team combined to handle the Earwigs 15-3.
Blake Mackall and Austin Lokre claimed six sets for Cate by sweeping three singles sets each. Parker Gribb and Jack Hoover teamed up in doubles to sweep another three sets.
Abhay Singh won three sets in doubles play with two different partners in Brendan Lokre and Bill Pomerans. Kel Mitchel and Johnowen Lowe in doubles and Alex Erling in singles tossed in additional points without dropping a set.
Cate’s record stands at 2-0 in league play and 3-3 overall. The Rams play again on Wednesday in a non-league home match with Santa Ynez.
