Kelsey Drain won the 100 meters, 100 meter hurdles and the long jump in Carpinteria’s dual meet with Fillmore on Thursday.
The Carpinteria boys won 76-60 and the girls took their meet 69-61. Both teams are now 1-0 on the season.
Drain’s times in the 100 meters and 100 meter hurdles were 14.04 and 18.22 respectively. She recorded a score of 14’5.5″ in the long jump.
Highlights for the boys included wins by Trevon Guevara in the long jump (20’10”), Jesus Zapata in the 400 meteres (53.90 seconds) and David Cornejo in the 300 meter hurdles (43.90 seconds).
Other event winners for the girls were Lois Stanley in the 400 meters (60.97 seconds) and Kai Moreno in the discus (72’1″).
Carpinteria will continue its season this Saturday at the Tri-City Relays at Westmont College.
