Dos Pueblos’ baseball team climbed to a season-high No. 5 ranking in the latest set of CIF polls that were released on Monday.
The Chargers, who are in Arizona this week to defend their title at the Cherrywood Classic, have won nine of their last 10 games and hold a 9-2 record. Their only loss during that stretch is a 3-0 setback to Alemany, currently No. 6 in the LA Times’ Southland Top 25.
Alemany is the No. 2 team in Division 2, with Redlands residing in the No. 1 position and Dos Pueblos at No. 5. Harvard-Westlake (3) and Cypress (4) are also ahead of the Chargers. Channel League foe Buena is No. 6.
Meanwhile, Bishop Diego is the No. 2 team in Division 6 for the second-straight week. The Cardinals have started their season at 7-2 and are undefeated in Frontier League play. Bishop has league games with Villanova and Fillmore this week.
