Dos Pueblos played a competitive volleyball match against defending state champion Westlake, losing in four sets, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, on Monday night.
“We were in every game except the first,” DP coach Chris Hughes said. “We’re still finding things out about this team.”
The Chargers are 0-3.
Mansai Conner led the Chargers with 11 kills in 17 attempts. Keaton Arutian had nine kills, two aces and four digs, and Cameron Fry addd five kills and two blocks. Josh Lemons provided some good play as setter.
Despite the loss, Hughes liked what he saw in his team. “We played with them and competed against them. We’ll get our wins.”
