Dos Pueblos left the Best of the West Tournament on Saturday riding a high note and a two-match win streak.
“The guys came through,” said Chargers head coach Chris Hughes.
After losing their first four matches at the ultra-competitive tournament, Dos Pueblos rebounded with wins over Santa Monica and Edison.
“It was nice to win the tournament on two wins on a positive note,” Hughes said.
Dos Pueblos began the day with a 25-18, 25-15 loss to Granite Bay. Then the Chargers came back against Santa Monica 25-19, 23-25, 17-15 and against Edison 25-14, 26-24.
Hughes highlighted a number of players, including Keaton Arutian, Gabe Burdick, Josh Lemmons, Mansai Conner, Matt Sessler and Andrew Kenyon. JV call-up Jordan Foster also made good contributions.
