The Bishop Diego baseball team faced a 3-1 hole after the first inning and were unable to come back despite a three-hit, complete game performance from pitcher Aidan Williams. The final score was 3-2 in favor of hosting Villanova.
“Aidan pitched really well for us so it was disappointing we couldn’t get him a win,” assistant coach Kai Solin said.
The Cardinals struggled to generate offense as Villanova had a flawless fielding day, committing no errors.
Bishop Diego (7-3 overall, 2-1 Frontier League) will play next on Friday at home against Fillmore.
