The Cate girls soccer team received two goals from Annie Weis on Wednesday and defeated the Dunn School 3-0 at home
The first half ended in a 0-0 stalemate, but Dunn could not keep the Rams out of the goal for long.
Ten minutes after the break, Weis scored a spectacular goal by curving a corner kick into the far side of the goal to give her team a 1-0 lead.
Weis soon doubled Cate’s lead by collecting a loose ball and firing it into the back of the net.
The Rams sealed the victory when Sumner Matthews found Charlotte Bowles who took the pass and put away her first ever varsity goal.
Cate has earned a spot in the postseason and will receive its playoff draw on Monday.
