Calling all team players…whether you’re a serious competitor or just looking for some family fun, it’s time to get ready for the 20th Annual Orchard to Ocean 5K, 10K, and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, March 10 at the Carpinteria Children’s Project at Main in Carpinteria.
Community members, businesses, athletic teams, and students, are encouraged to participate by competing for the “Team Spirit” award. The award goes to the team with the greatest number of participants. Each member of the winning team will receive a commemorative stainless steel water bottle and ribbon.
The first pre-registration discount deadline is approaching on Feb. 17! Entry fees for the 5K and 10K races range from $25 for early registration to $35 on race day. Registration for the 1-Mile Fun Run is $10. Student racers from CUSD may enter any race for $10. Registration forms can be downloaded at CarpEducationFoundation.org or interested participants can register online at Active.com.
This community event is a fundraiser that equitably benefits all students in the Carpinteria Unified School District (CUSD).
Orchard to Ocean is organized by Carpinteria Education Foundation (CEF) and parent groups from each school in the district. Proceeds from the event are used to fund field trips, equipment, arts programs, and a variety of enrichment opportunities and activities at all Carpinteria and Summerland public schools.
Carpinteria Education Foundation (CEF), is a nonprofit organization of volunteers providing financial assistance and support for public schools in the Carpinteria Unified School District.
