The No. 2 ranked Providence Hall girls baksetball team easily dealt with Newbury Park Academy 51-24 in its opening game in the CIF Division 6AA playoffs.
Faith Emerson and Elizabeth Beebe each scored 10 points while Olivia Barroca and Sydney Hedges scored nine and six points respectively in the away game.
The Lions had impressive season and finished with 15-6 overall record. The team is not affiliated with any league.
The victory has earned Providence Hall a home game, but the opponent is still to be determined. The team will play its next game Saturday evening at Carpinteria High.
