Four of the six starters for the Laguna Blanca boys volleyball team played in their first ever organized volleyball match on Tuesday, and the team lost in four sets to Hueneme.
The scores were 25-12, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19.
“In Game two, we played more like how I expected,” Owls head coach Dillan Bennett said. “We passed well, set well, and made good decisions hitting-wise.”
The team was led offensively by Andrew McCaffery, who recorded seven kills. Andrew Vignolo, Colton Johnson and Michael Reyes all had five kills.
Defensively, Cuyler Zimmerman had an excellent outing with 17 digs.
Laguna Blanca will play next on March 8 against Channel Islands at home.
