Bishop Diego captured a 47-38 Tri-Valley League victory over Fillmore on Saturday behind a 19-point performance from Greer Shull that included a late 3-point play that help the Cardinals hold off the Flashes.
Bishop Diego led in the third quarter by 14 but allowed Fillmore to briefly take a one-point lead in the fourth quarter. Greer’s play made sure the Cardinals stayed ahead for good.
Sophomore Colleen Duley contributed 10 points and made 4-of-5 free throws. Josie McCoy added 10 points and Charlie Fling tallied nine rebounds and six blocks.
Bishop Diego travels for the fifth game in a row on Tuesday before wrapping up the regular season on Thursday at home for Senior Night.
