CIF brackets were released for the Southern Section’s girls basketball postseason on Sunday.
While Dos Pueblos hosts a first-round game in the Division 2-A bracket on Saturday, all other teams begin their postseason run on Thursday.
All games are scheduled for 7 p.m. unless to the schools agree upon another time.
Santa Barbara, which lost to Dos Pueblos in a league playoff game and qualified as an at-large team as a result, travels to Rio Mesa for a Thursday first-round game. The Dons are playing in Division 3-AAA.
Bishop Diego is traveling for the first round of Division 5-A. The Cardinals are the 12th seed in the division. Their draw is interesting in that they wouldn’t have to face a league champion until the semifinals.
Providence Hall is the second-seeded team in Division 6 but it will travel to Omega League champion Newbury Park Adventist in the first round.
Carpinteria also made the playoffs. The Warriors face St. Bonaventure, which finished third in the Tri-Valley League.
