Nico Sorenson and Chad Lampe of Dos Pueblos and Bryce Vinion of Santa Barbara will try to repeat as champions at the Channel League Wrestling Finals at Santa Barbara High on Saturday.
Competition for varsity and junior varsity begins at 10 a.m. The varsity finals are slated at around 4.
This is the first step for wrestlers to advance to the CIF State Meet. The top three finishers in each weight class qualify for the CIF Individual Prelims on Feb. 17. The finals are on Feb. 18 followed by the CIF Masters Meet on Feb. 24-25 and the State Meet on March 2-3.
